Attention New Fall 2008 Students, Returning Students and Distant Learning Students: 
You will need to activate your accounts by using the Password Reset Link located to the left.  Your password will be your Social Security Number without the hyphens.  You will be able to create a password. 


What is my username and password?
We have a created a USERNAME and PASSWORD scheme that uses information you already know: the first four letters of your last name and the last four digits of your social security number is your USERNAMEExample: smit6789.

Each Fall, we completely reload the student file so everyone has to reset their password prior to using the Student Portal, Student Webmail or access the Library Databases.  Your PASSWORD is your Social Security Number without the hyphens.  You will need to select a new password by using the Reset Password link (located on the left side of any of the Networking and Information Services web pages). You do not to be on campus in order to do this.  Feel free to reset your password any time you would like and especially if you feel your password has been compromised. 

Remember to always use lower case for your USERNAME and PASSWORD.

IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS ACCESSING THE STUDENT PORTAL:
Please review the area below and see if any of these may pertain to you or your computer system.

   1.   I use AOL as my Internet Service Provider.
         Connect to your Internet Provider, but minimize it and use Internet 
         Explorer or Netscape to access the STUDENT PORTAL.  AOL
         prevents access to the STUDENT PORTAL.
   3.   Do you use an "accelerator" or "pop up preventer"?
         These may stop access to the above areas.  Temporarily disable this 
         feature and try accessing the area again.  

Only currently enrolled students have access to this area.  If you need a copy of your transcript, please call the Registrar at 562-4122.

STILL CAN'T GET ON:
Your success is important to us.  You have a multitude of options:

   1.  You can contact the Helpdesk for assistance.  Emailing the helpdesk will facilitate
         a quicker response than calling at 562-4261 due to the volumes of calls.
   2.  Visit the Computer Help Desk located on the 3rd floor in room 339M.
   3.  Visit the Tutoring Center located on the 4th floor or the Douglas Library located 
        on the 2nd floor for assistance.
